Robert Fyke
Hello Friends and Families of Dent Elementary School,
Allow me to introduce myself, I am Robert Fyke the assistant principal at Dent Elementary School since the beginning of the 2018 school year. I came to Dent with over twenty years of teaching experience, a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and a strong desire to make a positive difference in the educational lives of children.
My proudest achievement is my family. My wife, Sandie, is a special education classroom aide and my strongest supporter. My son Trevor is a graduate of UC Davis and works for the athletic department of the University of Oregon. My daughter, McKenna, works in digital marketing and is a graduate of the University of Montana in Missoula.
Leaving the classroom after so many years of teaching was intimidating. My academic degrees prepared me for the bureaucratic side of education, but it was the teachers, support staff and the 690 TK-5th students that have taught me the most. I feel very fortunate to work at such a positive school site with a principal like Mr Varni and in a close knit community like Escalon.
